Barack Obama's interview on the O'Reilly Factor back in September left a positive impression on me in a number of ways. The interview segments:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Whatever else you say about Obama, what he did here was to put himself up against one of the most prominent and tough members of the media in the opposition.
I never saw McCain, much less Palin (seriously?), do anything like this. The closest I saw McCain pretending to do something like this was his appearance on The View (part one, part two, part three), where -- like with any kind of tough line of questioning after the Palin selection -- many answers were all sorts of evasive. His answers about his running mate's readiness have been nothing short of delusional for two months now.
Just watch how the candidates perform against the toughest line of questioning each of them faced from members of the media. That should tell the story of the whole election right there.
